Health care worker

Responsibilities: Responsible for providing professional nursing services to residents

Qualifications: Graduated from secondary five, good Cantonese; general English; able to read and write Chinese; slightly able to write English; serious about work, polite to others, loving and patient; must hold a uniform license for health care workers, and holding a first aid certificate is preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide professional, safe and empathetic daily care services to residents, including assistance with eating, personal hygiene, medication management and basic health monitoring.

• Execute care work according to the care plan, observe and record changes in the resident's physical condition, and report abnormal situations to senior nursing staff in a timely manner.

• Participate in hospital-based health education activities and recreational support to promote the well-being and quality of life of the residents.

• Support team collaboration, assist nursing supervisors and other staff to complete daily operations, and ensure a clean, safe and orderly environment in the institution.

• Comply with the Hong Kong Elderly Care Homes Ordinance and related regulations, strictly implement infection control measures and personal data confidentiality principles.

Requirements:

• Must hold a Hong Kong Social Welfare Department-recognized "Health Care Worker Unified License" and have a valid first aid certificate (such as one issued by HKSI or St. John Ambulance) to be given priority.

• Graduate from secondary five or above; Have basic Chinese reading and writing abilities, be able to clearly fill out nursing records and communication documents; Have basic English reading and writing abilities.

• Proficient in Cantonese, able to communicate basic needs in Mandarin; English able to understand common nursing vocabulary and instructions.

• Have good service attitude and emotional management skills, be polite, loving and patient to others, and be able to adapt to the detail and repetition of elderly care work.

• Must be a permanent resident of Hong Kong, able to accept shift work (including day shifts, night shifts and holiday duty), working about 60 hours per week, and not requiring work visa arrangements.
