Trader/Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Trade Execution: Execute discretionary or systematic trading strategies precisely while monitoring real-time positions, market liquidity, and risk exposure.

• Data & Market Analysis: Analyse market trends, historical data, and technical/fundamental indicators to generate actionable trading insights.

• Strategy Optimization: Backtest and evaluate existing trading models to identify areas for performance and risk-return improvement.

• Risk Management: Strictly adhere to risk limits and corporate compliance guidelines, executing stop-loss or hedging actions during high-volatility events.

• Performance Reporting: Conduct post-trade analysis, including P&L attribution and transaction cost reviews, to report findings to management.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.

• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in financial trading and market analysis.

• Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative mindset with proven ability to manipulate, model, and interpret complex financial datasets.

• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA/formulas); knowledge of Python or SQL for data analysis is highly preferred. Genuine interest in Artificial Intelligence with a practical familiarity with AI tools/applications and their integration into financial workflows.

• Attributes: Sharp logical reasoning, high emotional discipline under pressure, and strict adherence to risk management protocols.

• Language Skills: Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English. Proficiency in Mandarin is a strong advantage and will be prioritized.
