Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily production of Chinese dim sum, including steaming, frying, frying, and baking, such as shrimp dumplings, shumai, char siu bao, egg tarts, and lotus root cake, etc. Traditional and innovative products
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to provide flexible support to other positions during peak hours, and follow food safety and sanitation operating procedures (such as HACCP basic principles, personal hygiene, and equipment cleaning and disinfection process)
- Regularly participate in menu update discussions, assist in testing new dim sum styles, provide production feasibility opinions, and adjust recipes or processes as required to meet operating needs
Work requirements
- Have at least three years of practical experience in Chinese tea houses or hotel Chinese restaurants, familiar with the Cantonese dim sum system and mainstream seasonal dim sum preparation
- Hold a food safety certificate issued by the Hong Kong Food and Environmental Health Bureau, and understand the basic requirements for food handling under the local Public Health and Municipal Ordinance
- Have good time management skills, be able to maintain stable output and quality in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment; pay attention to details, and have basic appreciation of color, aroma, taste, and shape
