Senior Research and Development Engineer (Aerospace Engineering) Job Responsibilities
Lead the research and development of new aviation technologies, covering aircraft systems integration, advanced material application, avionics architecture design or aerodynamic simulation, etc., and promote the landing of innovative solutions
Participate in cross-functional project collaboration, closely cooperate with flight testing, airworthiness certification, supply chain and operations teams to ensure that the R&D results meet international aviation standards and practical application needs
Responsible for technical document writing and maintenance, including requirement specifications, design validation reports, risk assessment analysis, and patent proposals, supporting internal knowledge management and external compliance review
Utilize numerical simulation, experimental testing, and data analysis tools for performance validation and optimization, continuously improving system reliability, safety, and energy efficiency
Follow up on global aviation industry technology trends and regulatory evolution, participate in academic exchanges, industry forums or joint research and development programs, and strengthen the institution's technology foresight ability
Work requirements
Holding a doctorate in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, automation or related fields; with a solid theoretical foundation and independent research ability
Familiar with common standards in the aerospace industry (such as DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4754A, EASA Part 21, etc.) is preferred, with airworthiness experience or international project participation experience as a plus
Proficient in at least one core technical tool or platform, such as MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS, CATIA, LabVIEW, Python or embedded system development environment
Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English for technical communication and document writing; able to effectively chair multilingual meetings and coordinate multicultural teams
Have high autonomy and problem-solving oriented thinking, be able to plan and execute paths, control technical risks and deliver key results on time under contract-based project rhythms

Monthly salary range from HKD 60,000 to 90,000, with market competitiveness, and further negotiable based on personal qualifications and project contributions
