<p><strong>About the Research Centre</strong></p><p>In collaboration with CityU, University of Oxford, and Karolinska Institutet, the Hong Kong Centre for Cerebro-cardiovascular Health Engineering (COCHE) was established with the support of the ITC-InnoHK Programme to develop new ways to tackle cardiovascular disease (CVD), which is the world's leading cause of morbidity and mortality. To address the most pressing health challenges caused by CVD, COCHE focuses on developing innovative technologies such as flexible and wearable devices, biomedical and molecular imaging, nano-biosensing, micro-robotics, healthcare AI systems, and other ground-breaking methods to enable early prevention, diagnosis, and intervention of the disease. These technologies can reduce human costs while alleviating financial and social burdens on the healthcare system. For more information on COCHE, please visit: https://www.hkcoche.org/</p><p></p><p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p>We are looking for a skilled IT Specialist to join our team and help maintain, optimize, and secure our IT infrastructure. If you are passionate about technology and problem-solving, please apply for it.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><br>• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems;<br>• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues (hardware, software, network);<br>• Monitor system performance and ensure security and efficiency;<br>• Provide technical support to employees and assist with IT-related requests;<br>• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls;<br>• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions;<br>• Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements; and<br>• Assist in IT projects, including system upgrades and migrations.<br><br>General Qualification</p><p></p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong><br><br>• 2-3 years in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role;<br>• Proficiency in Windows/Linux/macOS environments;<br>• Knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls);<br>• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus;<br>• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices;<br>• Ability to work independently, to work under pressure and overtime; and to set and drive the team to meet project deadlines; and<br>• Excellent oral communication and written skills in English, with good organisational and analytical abilities and willingness to learn new techniques.</p><p></p><p><strong>Remuneration & Duration of Appointment</strong></p><p>The remuneration package will be highly competitive, and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits for full-time appointments include leave and medical insurance, etc. Initial appointments will be made on a fixed-term contract.
