Network & CCTV system Assistant Engineer

I. Job Description

Under the guidance of engineers, assist in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network systems and closed-circuit television (CCTV) monitoring systems, ensuring stable system operation, providing timely technical support, and collaborating with the team to complete project delivery and daily maintenance work.

II. Job Responsibilities

Network System Support

Under the guidance of engineers, assist in the configuration and maintenance of network equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.

Perform network cable cabling, testing, and labeling; handle basic network faults such as LAN and broadband access.

Monitor network operation status, record alarm information, and report and follow up promptly.

CCTV System Support

Assist in the installation and commissioning of monitoring equipment such as cameras, NVRs, and display terminals.

Perform image debugging, recording configuration, playback backup, and remote access settings.

Troubleshoot common CCTV problems such as abnormal image quality, equipment offline, and storage errors.

On-site and Documentation Work

Accompany engineers to the site for construction and maintenance, and manage tools and materials.

Complete engineering documents such as repair orders, test reports, and as-built documentation.

Provide clients with simple operation training and respond to daily technical inquiries.

Other: Comply with relevant Hong Kong electrical and security operation standards to ensure construction safety.

Complete other technical support tasks assigned by superiors.

III. Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications

Legal Hong Kong work qualification (Permanent Resident/Visa/Admission Scheme for Talents and Professionals, etc.).

Advanced Diploma/Associate Degree or above, majoring in electronics, electrical engineering, computer science, communications, or security engineering.

1 year or more of experience in network/CCTV/low-voltage electrical systems; training available for recent graduates.

Professional Skills

Familiar with TCP/IP, VLAN, routing and switching basics; able to configure common network equipment.

Understand low-voltage cabling, wiring sequence testing, equipment wiring, and simple fault location.

Able to use Office and CAD to read drawings and write engineering records.

Language and Qualifications

Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin; basic English reading and writing skills preferred.

Strong sense of responsibility, willing to learn, hardworking, and adaptable to on-site attendance and rotating shifts.

Good service awareness and communication skills; disciplined and safety-conscious.
