Table tennis assistant coach

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in conducting group courses and one-on-one individual training, designing appropriate teaching rhythm and content for different age groups of students

• Guide students to master the basic skills of table tennis, including grip, serve, receive serve, forehand and backhand strokes, and footwork, etc. Action details, and instant correction and adjustment

• Assist students in understanding basic tactical applications such as point control, tempo changes, and offensive and defensive transitions, and enhance their practical combat skills

• Responsible for preparing and organizing equipment before and after class to ensure a safe and orderly training environment

• Participate in course planning and student learning progress recording, and provide regular feedback to the head coach and parents

• In accordance with the center's arrangements, carry out teaching tasks at different venues (including Sheung Wan, Huangpu, Siu Sai Bay, Kowloon Tong, Cheung Sha Wan, Fuen Sin, etc.)

Work requirements

• Have at least 1 to 3 years of table tennis training or competition experience, those who have participated in regional tournaments are given priority

• Have teaching or teaching assistant experience, passionate about guiding children and adolescents, and able to inspire students’ learning motivation through encouragement

• Fluent Cantonese communication is a must, those who understand Mandarin or English will be considered an advantage

• Have good expression and patience, be able to clearly explain technical points and adapt to different learning speeds

• Responsibility, punctuality, and willingness to cooperate with team members and follow the center's teaching principles

• Can work after school hours (after 4 pm) or on weekends, with flexible hours

• No academic qualifications required, but you must have a high level of enthusiasm and a continuous learning attitude towards table tennis

• Holds a valid Hong Kong work visa, including Hong Kong permanent residents, high talent pass, outstanding talent pass, IANG, dependent visa or other work permit
