IT Specialist - MongoDB

Responsible for:

• Design, implement, and maintain MongoDB databases.

• Optimizing the database queries, indexes, and schemas.

• Oversee database system maintenance, including troubleshooting, performance monitoring and tuning, and ensure data security and integrity.

• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery strategies.

• Collaborate with developers to design efficient data models and ensure best practices.

• Configure and manage MongoDB clusters.

• Document database architecture, processes, and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in MongoDB Development / Administration.

• Expertise in MongoDB querying, aggregation, indexing, and performance tuning.

• Experience in MongoDB Atlas, Ops Manager, or Compass.

• Familiarity with NoSQL database design principles.

• Solid experience with Linux/Unix environments and scripting (Bash, Python, or JavaScript).

• Good knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is an advantage.

• In-depth knowledge of database security, replication, and sharding.

• Proficiency in backup, restoration, and migration strategies.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Certification of MongoDB such as MongoDB Certified Developer or DBA.

• Experience with other databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis).

• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or DevOps practices.
