Junior Accountant

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of financial statement audit work, including understanding customer business processes, evaluating internal control effectiveness, and testing financial data for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare workpapers according to the audit program, sort and file related invoices, contracts, bank statements, and other supporting documents.
• Participate in on-site audit work, communicate with customers’ financial and management personnel, clarify accounting treatment questions and obtain necessary audit evidence.
• Assist in writing preliminary audit opinions and management advice letters, reflecting the financial or operational improvement space discovered.
• Support the team in completing tax return assistance, account adjustments, and annual settlement-related collaborative tasks.

Work requirements

• Holding a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management or related sciences; those with the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) QP course qualification or currently enrolled in the course are preferred.
• No experience is required, fresh graduates are welcome to apply; those with basic accounting knowledge (such as financial accounting, auditing principles, company regulations) and familiar with Hong Kong financial reporting standards (HKFRS) are especially welcome.
• Have good writing and speaking skills in Chinese and English, be able to clearly write work papers and conduct professional communication with customers; Cantonese is the daily working language.
• Careful and meticulous, with logical analysis ability and independent judgment awareness, and able to properly handle multiple audit procedures within time constraints.
• Have basic computer skills, be familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word; those with experience in using audit software (such as CaseWare, ACL) will be given additional points.
