Job Description
The Department is seeking inspirational and energetic candidates as Teaching Assistants to support its growing scope of learning and teaching initiatives and endeavours. Successful applicant will join the team of highly qualified educators in the delivery of a wide variety of learning and teaching activities, including collection/analysis/production of teaching materials; course-related tutorials; assignment/report marking; preparation of course/promotion materials and administration; plans for internationalizing activities in course level; students' learning activity support; fieldworks/trip, practicum, workshop and on-site technical support; event management; marketing campaigns development and operation; and other tasks as assigned by the Head of Department. The initial appointment will be for a period of 24 months with possibility of renewal subject to mutual agreement.
Requirements
Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree, preferably a Master's degree, in Education or in a relevant discipline with some post-qualification tertiary teaching support experience. They should be highly proficient in both English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua), attentive to details, highly self-motivated and have strong communication and organization skills. They should be adept at a multi-tasking work environment, able to work under tight deadlines, demonstrate the ability to work both independently and as a team, and be willing to travel GBA.
Salary and Benefits Package
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include the University's Voluntary Contributions to MPF Scheme or a contract-end lump sum payment (totaling up to 10% of the basic salary), leave, medical and dental benefits.
