Chinese Transcriber (Full-Time, Hong Kong)

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Chinese Transcriber to join our team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for transcribing audio and video content in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) into accurate text, ensuring high-quality deliverables. This is a remote, part-time role requiring availability from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM HKT, with the need to remain on standby via WhatsApp for communication outside these hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) audio and video files accurately and efficiently.

• Proofread and edit transcriptions to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to style guidelines.

• Respond promptly to task assignments and updates via WhatsApp.

• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.

• Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work within the specified timeframe.

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).

• Excellent listening and typing skills with strong attention to detail.

• Proficiency in written Chinese and, if applicable, English.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during the designated hours (9:00 AM – 10:00 PM HKT).

• Reliable internet connection and access to WhatsApp for constant communication and standby availability.

• Previous transcription experience is preferred but not mandatory.

• Must be based in Hong Kong.
