Job Title: Substitute security guard

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for daily safety patrols and entry/exit control at the Catholic Church's Saint Cross Cemetery (240 Leung Ching Road, Chai Wan), ensuring the safety of the site's facilities, cemetery and visitors;

• Monitor the operation of the closed-circuit television system, immediately detect abnormal situations and report and handle them according to the established procedures;

• Greet visitors, register entry and exit data, answer basic inquiries, and maintain site order and a peaceful environment;

• Regularly inspect fire equipment, lighting facilities, fences and passage conditions, and submit a brief inspection report to the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Must be a permanent resident of Hong Kong, able to provide valid identity documents;

• Able to communicate fluently in Cantonese, with basic writing and understanding of Chinese;

• No academic qualifications are required, nor is relevant work experience, welcome newcomers to apply;

• Have a good sense of responsibility and observation, and be able to independently execute position responsibilities for a long time in the morning (working more than 8 hours a day);

• Must be able to accommodate a fixed early shift on one day per week (usually the morning hours), and provide temporary substitute support as needed.

Benefits:

• Hourly rate between HKD 55 and 60, accurately calculated based on actual working hours, and an additional allowance is paid for public holidays;

• Provide on-the-job basic training, covering venue rules, emergency response procedures, and security service regulations;

• Enjoy 7 paid annual leave days (calculated based on actual service months), and may also enjoy statutory paid sick leave under the Employment Ordinance;

• Well-performing individuals may be invited to long-term collaborations and given priority for part-time positions at other institutions within the same system.
