Position name: Settlement Analyst / Associate Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for the daily settlement of securities and futures products in the Hong Kong and global markets, including trade confirmation, delivery arrangements, fund and securities transfer, etc.
Familiarity with the Hong Kong Central Clearing and Settlement System (CCASS) and the Derivative Products Clearing and Settlement System (DCASS) operations and rules
Execute daily operations, covering end-of-day processing, bookkeeping, customer funds and securities deposit and withdrawal applications, review and execution
As a front-line coordination window, actively communicate with customers, trading counterparties and clearinghouses, promptly identify, follow up and resolve settlement abnormalities and disputes
Participate in the formulation and optimization of settlement-related policies, standard operating procedures (SOP) and risk control mechanisms, and improve operating efficiency and compliance level
Ensure that all settlement operations strictly comply with internal management rules, regulatory requirements (such as the Securities Regulatory Commission's Code of Ethics, the Stock Exchange and HKEX rules) and market conventions
Support backend system upgrades or development projects, providing business requirement analysis, testing and validation, and user training, etc. Collaborative support
According to management requirements, participate in temporary projects, process improvement, and other assigned tasks
Work requirements:
Holding a bachelor's degree or above in finance, business administration or related sciences; fresh graduates are welcome to apply, those with relevant experience will be considered for promotion to senior settlement analyst (Associate)
Have good writing and speaking skills in Chinese and English (must be fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English), able to clearly communicate technical information and effectively collaborate across departments
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software (especially Excel data processing, Word document writing, and PowerPoint presentation creation), those with Access database fundamentals are especially good
Have a basic understanding of securities and futures market operations, settlement processes and regulatory frameworks; do not need to have practical experience, but must demonstrate strong learning intentions and meticulous and rigorous work attitude
Must have Hong Kong permanent residency, or hold a high-end talent pass (High Talent Pass), an excellent talent entry plan (Excellent Talent Pass), a non-local graduate retention/hire arrangement (IANG), a dependent visa or other valid Hong Kong work permit
