Fabric Merchandiser

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for yarn and fabric cost calculation and quotation, and negotiating prices with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Execute the fabric procurement process, including finding suitable suppliers, evaluating product quality and delivery capability.
• Coordinate and track the progress of laboratory tests (lab test) to ensure that all fabrics meet the customer's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Stay in close contact with customers, understand their needs and provide professional advice to ensure accurate execution of orders.
• Follow up on orders from placement to delivery, ensuring that each stage of the process meets the expected timeline and quality goals.

Work requirements

• Applicants with a background in textiles, clothing or related fields, and those with experience in purchasing yarn or fabric, are preferred.
• Familiar with fabric properties, textile processes and production flows, with basic cost analysis and negotiation skills.
• Able to handle multiple orders independently and effectively manage time, with good control over details.
• Excellent communication skills, able to smoothly coordinate with internal teams and overseas customers, suppliers.
• Proficient in Office software, with the ability to correspond in English, and able to handle international business communication.
