We are actively seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Middle Office Analyst to join our Middle Office team in Hong Kong. Reporting into the Senior Middle Office Manager, it is a hands-on role with excellent exposures to a wide range of listed and OTC derivatives and cash products spanning a number of stock and derivatives exchanges. You will be trained in and assist with various middle office and treasury functions that the team performs. The successful candidate will work closely with Trading, IT, Finance, Risk teams and prime broker operations to resolve P&L and position breaks efficiently.
Responsibilities and Duties
Perform daily reconciliations with brokers in different jurisdictions, working closely with traders to resolve discrepancies promptly
Support trading activities monitoring credit limit usages, FX exposures, and funding requirements, and assist in treasury management
Play an active part in continuous improvement, proposing enhancements to operational workflows, controls, and automation tools and their implementation
Support management, in conjunction with business lines and Finance, with analysis of key performance metrics
Support the launch of new products and initiatives
What you offer
Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field
2 years of experience in middle office, operations with experience in reconciliation in PnL, Trades, Positions (less experience would be considered as Middle Office Assistant)
Solid understanding of derivative products
Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Good knowledge and experience of Python, MySQL, and Excel are preferred.
Professional certification such as FRM or CFA is an advantage
