In charge of the design, installation, supervision, testing, commissioning, operation and energy-saving optimization of air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration and control systems. Ensure compliance with Hong Kong building / mechanical regulations, fire safety and environmental requirements, and maintain comfortable indoor conditions and efficient equipment operation.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct HVAC system design, load calculation, equipment selection, drawing development and tender documentation.
Supervise installation, commissioning and handover; ensure construction quality, safety and energy efficiency targets.
Develop preventive maintenance plans; troubleshoot faults and optimize system operation.
Review contractor submissions, equipment specifications and materials to meet Hong Kong codes and standards.
Liaise with EMSD, fire services, consultants and contractors for approval and inspection.
Monitor energy consumption, implement optimization and retrofit to improve efficiency and reduce operating cost.
Requirements
Diploma / Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
3–8 years of relevant working experience in HVAC / MVAC projects in Hong Kong.
Familiar with chillers, AHU, FCU, air distribution systems and building automation systems (BAS).
Knowledgeable about Hong Kong building regulations, EMSD requirements and energy efficiency standards.
Proficient in AutoCAD / BIM, load calculation software and MS Office.
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; fluent in Cantonese.
Experience in commercial buildings, hotels, hospitals or data centers is preferred.
