Our client is seeking a motivated Junior Cloud System Engineer to join their IT team. In this role, you'll be responsible for deploying and maintaining scalable, high-availability systems on cloud platforms, primarily AWS. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their cloud career to gain hands-on experience with modern infrastructure in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Deploy, support, and maintain scalable and highly available cloud systems, primarily on AWS.
Monitor cloud-based services and systems, and proactively resolve performance or availability issues.
Assist in setting up and improving services on cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, and CDN/security tools.
Collaborate with internal teams to support project and infrastructure needs.
Create and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
Provide technical support for cloud infrastructure and participate in troubleshooting tasks.
Ensure system performance, cost-effectiveness, and quality assurance across cloud environments.
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Minimum 1 year of experience in systems engineering, technical support, or cloud operations.
AWS certification and hands-on experience with AWS services.
Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and system architecture.
Experience with Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with system monitoring tools and techniques.
Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Experience with web application cloud migration projects is a plus.
