Senior Trade Test Analyst

Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Execution

• Take ownership of test strategy, test planning, and execution for post‑trade systems

• Design and maintain test cases and test artefacts supporting BAU changes and project implementations

• Act as the senior QA / test lead within the Core Business IT testing scope

Test Automation

• Design, develop and maintain automated testing frameworks

• Expand automation coverage across core settlement systems and interfaces

• Ensure automation solutions are robust, reusable, and maintainable

Functional & Business Engagement

• Work closely with business users, operations teams, and IT colleagues to:

  • Understand end‑to‑end post‑trade workflows

  • Translate functional requirements into practical testing approaches

• Participate in requirement walkthroughs, defect discussions, and release coordination

BAU & Project Support

• Provide structured and organized testing support across BAU and project streams

• Manage multiple testing demands in parallel in a fast‑paced production environment

• Support test execution across upstream and downstream systems

Quality & Governance

• Ensure testing activities comply with internal IT controls, SDLC standards, and audit expectations

• Maintain appropriate test documentation and evidence for operational and audit review

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience working as QA in securities brokerage firms, investment banks, or similar regulated environment

• Must have exposure to integrated post‑trade system landscapes for Equities and Fixed Income Business

• Good understanding of Equities post‑trade operations, including:

  • Trade booking

  • Trade confirmation

  • Settlement instruction processing

  • SWIFT messaging (MT & MX / ISO 20022 – CBPR+) covering payment, settlement, and statement

  • Reconciliation processes

• Hands‑on experience in building and maintaining test automation solutions

• Hands-on BAU Support or Project experience with any trade settlement system e.g. Gloss, Syn~, Inferno etc

• Hands-on experience in performance testing to measure latency, throughput of systems

• Familiarity with audit, regulatory, or control‑driven environments

• Strong organization, ownership, and communication skills
