Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Executive/Manager to be a key driver of our growth and impact. This role is central to expanding our network, forging vital partnerships, and commercializing our technologies. You will be the bridge between groundbreaking innovation and the global construction market, helping to turn research into real-world solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partnership Development:Identify, approach, and secure strategic partnerships with key stakeholders across the construction ecosystem, including contractors, developers, technology vendors, investors, and government bodies.

• Project Pipeline Generation:Work closely with our technical teams to understand our portfolio of technologies and identify market opportunities. Source and develop new collaborative R&D projects with industry partners that address critical industry needs.

• Commercialization & Revenue Growth:Develop and execute strategies to commercialize HKCRC’s technologies, including licensing models, joint ventures, and supporting the launch of spin-off startups. Define and achieve sales/revenue targets for services and solutions.

• Market Intelligence:Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, unmet needs, and competitive landscapes in construction technology globally.

• Representation & Evangelism:Represent HKCRC at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events. Act as a passionate evangelist for our mission and technological capabilities.

• Proposal & Agreement Management:Lead the development of compelling partnership proposals, sponsorship packages, and manage the negotiation and closure of agreements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

• Minimum of3-5 years (for Executive) / 5-8 years (for Manager)of proven experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or sales, preferably within the construction, PropTech, robotics, automation, or deep-tech sectors.

• Strong existing network within the Hong Kong/Greater Bay Area construction or technology industry is a significant advantage.

• Demonstrated ability to understand complex technical concepts and articulate their business value to non-technical audiences.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English and Cantonese. Mandarin proficiency is highly desirable.

• Self-starter with a results-oriented mindset, capable of working independently in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
