Location: Kwai Chung
Salary: HK$20-24K (depending on experience, less experience will be consider as a Junior Merchandiser, $16-17K)
Experience Required: 3–5 years relevant merchandising experience
Our client is a well-established strategic manufacturing enterprise with 9 regionalized production facilities across Europe and Asia. They specialize in buttons, metal components, custom jewelry, and fashion accessories for the international apparel, leather goods, and home industries. They partner closely with global clients to bring creative designs and ideas to life.
We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Merchandiser to join their team in Kwai Chung.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full merchandising process, from product development and sourcing to order follow-up and delivery. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to build effective partnerships with buyers and suppliers while ensuring customer satisfaction and business objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities
Handle daily merchandising duties including product development, sampling, quotations, and bulk order follow-up
Liaise with buyers and clients to understand their requirements, deliver excellent customer service, and build long-term partnerships
Work closely with the Sales Manager on product development updates, order status, and ad-hoc tasks
Collaborate with manufacturers, vendors, and internal teams on product sourcing, sampling, production monitoring, and quality control
Conduct effective price negotiation and resolve issues to ensure cost efficiency and on-time delivery
Communicate clearly with suppliers regarding lead times, product specifications, compliance, and quality standards
Monitor production progress and proactively resolve potential problems
Provide weekly updates to internal teams and maintain accurate data entry in the system
Occasional travel to China or overseas manufacturing facilities may be required
Requirements
HKDSE or above / Diploma holder or equivalent
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant merchandising experience in fashion accessories, trims, buttons, packaging or related fields
Less experience will be consider as a Junior Merchandiser
Good understanding of global markets and international trade practices
Knowledge and experience in trims and packaging is highly preferred
Able to work independently with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Good command of both spoken and written English (Cantonese is a MUST)
