Audiovisual Technician (WM Hotel Hong Kong, Vignette Collection)

Responsibilities:

- Effectively operate all audiovisual systems and equipment in the hotel and ensure that operations meet guest service requirements.

- Complete assigned tasks and ensure all functions are set up correctly and running smoothly.

- Ensure that equipment is working properly before, during, and after the event; provide on-site support to speakers or performers.

- Attend banquets and events, and operate audiovisual equipment as needed for the event.

- Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all audio-visual systems and equipment in the hotel, ensuring their reliable operation and providing guests with satisfactory services.

- Complete received work requests and follow up in a timely manner.

- Under the guidance of the supervisor, operate and/or maintain ultra-low pressure systems and equipment.

- Participate in guest activities and other promotional events organized by the hotel as required

- Follow up with guests on their complaints and suggestions, if necessary

- Report any issues or employee feedback to your supervisor and suggest solutions as appropriate

- Daily inspection of all banquet halls and rest areas, ensure that all lighting, air conditioning and other services are in good working order, and repair or replace light bulbs immediately

- Monthly inventory of all equipment used in banquets

- Identify hazards and potential safety risks, and correct problems in a timely manner

- Always follow work safety procedures

- Keep the warehouse and work area clean and organized

- Always implement energy-saving measures and recycle materials where applicable

- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment

- According to the hotel's operational needs, assume other necessary and appropriate extra responsibilities

Requirements:

- Secondary school graduation or above

- At least one year of relevant work experience; those with hotel work experience are preferred

- Priority will be given to those with valid registration as electricians (A-level license)

- Hold a valid safety card

- Able to work in a high-traffic, fast-paced, customer-service-oriented environment

- Able to work independently

- Good listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in Cantonese, and able to communicate in English and Mandarin (Mandarin is preferred)

- Shift work, and occasionally work until midnight based on work needs
