Job Description
Job Responsibilities

  • Design and implement SLAM algorithms for real-time localization and mapping in dynamic environments.
  • Develop and optimize visual-inertial, LiDAR-inertial, or multi-sensor fusion SLAM systems.
  • Conduct algorithmic research on key SLAM components including feature extraction, pose estimation, loop closure detection, and bundle adjustment.
  • Integrate SLAM modules with perception, planning, and control subsystems in robotic or autonomous vehicle platforms.
  • Validate system performance using public datasets (e.g., KITTI, EuRoC, TUM) and real-world field tests; document findings and iterate on improvements.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Robotics, Computer Vision, Control Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Strong theoretical foundation and hands-on experience with SLAM frameworks such as ORB-SLAM, VINS-Fusion, LIO-SAM, or Cartographer.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python; experience with ROS/ROS2, OpenCV, Eigen, and PCL is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with sensor models, calibration techniques, and nonlinear optimization methods (e.g., g2o, Ceres Solver).
  • Experience deploying algorithms on embedded platforms or with GPU acceleration is a plus.
