Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Design and implement SLAM algorithms for real-time localization and mapping in dynamic environments.
Develop and optimize visual-inertial, LiDAR-inertial, or multi-sensor fusion SLAM systems.
Conduct algorithmic research on key SLAM components including feature extraction, pose estimation, loop closure detection, and bundle adjustment.
Integrate SLAM modules with perception, planning, and control subsystems in robotic or autonomous vehicle platforms.
Validate system performance using public datasets (e.g., KITTI, EuRoC, TUM) and real-world field tests; document findings and iterate on improvements.

Requirements

Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Robotics, Computer Vision, Control Engineering, or a related technical field.
Strong theoretical foundation and hands-on experience with SLAM frameworks such as ORB-SLAM, VINS-Fusion, LIO-SAM, or Cartographer.
Proficiency in C++ and Python; experience with ROS/ROS2, OpenCV, Eigen, and PCL is highly preferred.
Familiarity with sensor models, calibration techniques, and nonlinear optimization methods (e.g., g2o, Ceres Solver).
Experience deploying algorithms on embedded platforms or with GPU acceleration is a plus.
