Veterinary Technician

Job Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in clinical examinations, diagnostic procedures, and surgical preparations under supervision.

• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosing and documentation.

• Monitor and record vital signs, behavior, and recovery progress of hospitalized or emergency cases, especially during overnight shifts.

• Maintain cleanliness and sterility of examination rooms, surgical suites, and equipment in a 24-hour emergency animal hospital setting.

• Provide compassionate client communication in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin—explaining care instructions, treatment plans, and aftercare support.

Requirements

• Hold a Higher Diploma or Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology, Animal Health, or a closely related discipline.

• Possess 1–3 years of hands-on experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital, preferably with exposure to emergency or critical care environments.

• Demonstrate fluency in Cantonese (essential), English (professional working proficiency), and Mandarin (conversational or better).

• Be eligible to work in Hong Kong under one of the following: Hong Kong Permanent Resident status, High Talent Pass Scheme, Quality Migrant Admission Scheme, IANG, Dependent Visa, or other valid employment authorization.

• Adapt readily to rotating shifts
