Laboratory Assistant

Comparative Medical Research Center hires: Laboratory Assistant (Employed on a one-year temporary contract or a two-year contract; if work performance is satisfactory, a renewal can be obtained)

The Comparative Medicine Research Center is a department under the Li Ka Shing School of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong that is dedicated to improving animal welfare and providing high-quality animals to promote scientific research. The center is mainly responsible for breeding, raising, and caring for experimental animals.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for breeding, feeding, and caring for experimental animals

• Clean animal rooms

Working hours: Monday to Friday 8:45 – 17:00, Saturday 8:45 – 12:15 (long and short weeks)

Qualifications:

• Second 5 or above

• Good Cantonese and simple English

• Positive attitude, good communication and coping skills

• Responsibility, patience, seriousness, and attention to detail

• Applicants with a light truck driver's license and relevant work experience will be given priority

Entry salary will be determined based on the applicant's academic qualifications and relevant work experience. The center will provide on-the-job training to the applicant.
