Job Description

Shipyard Assistant Manager
Job Responsibilities

Assist the shipyard manager in planning and executing daily operations, including ship maintenance, repair, modification and construction project progress management and resource coordination.
Coordinate cross-departmental work processes, work closely with engineering, procurement, safety, quality and human resources teams, and be familiar with local legislation requirements.
Responsible for supervising construction site safety and compliance, regularly inspecting shipyards, workshops, and high-risk areas such as elevated/enclosed spaces, and promoting safety culture implementation and accident prevention measures.
Monthly submit cost-benefit and shipyard income and expenditure reports.
Prepare operating reports, project monthly reports and performance analysis data, report progress deviations, risk warnings and improvement suggestions to senior management, and support management decision-making.

Work requirements

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, naval, maritime engineering or related fields of engineering.
At least three years of shipyard management experience, familiar with ship structure, diesel engines and electrical repair processes.
Have strong on-site problem-solving skills and crisis management experience, and be able to quickly coordinate resources, adjust plans and maintain quality levels in tight deadlines, multiple tasks and sudden situations.
Demonstrate a high sense of responsibility and leadership, effectively leading technical teams, training junior staff, and adhering to the principles of integrity, attention to detail, and compliance when fulfilling various regulatory and contractual obligations.
Having a captain's and large Buddhist license is even better.
