Job Description
Job Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians in diagnosis, treatment and pre- and post-operative care, including preparing medical equipment, monitoring pet vital signs, administering medication and injections, and being able to perform surgery on pets.
Responsible for outpatient reception and medical record keeping, accurately fill out electronic or paper-based medical record systems, and ensure that medical information is complete, timely, and in compliance with professional standards.
Participate in hospital environmental management and infection control work, strictly abide by the principles of aseptic operation and medical waste classification and disposal procedures, and maintain a clean, safe and compliant clinical space.
Work requirements
Have a Hong Kong-recognized veterinary nursing diploma or relevant qualifications (such as a government-recognized veterinarian, a "Veterinary Nursing Advanced Diploma" issued by VTC), and have completed registration as a recognized veterinary nursing practitioner (RVM); those with valid practice certificates are preferred.
Have at least one year of local pet hospital clinical practice experience, familiar with the common disease process, emergency treatment and basic anesthesia monitoring of dogs and cats.
Have good communication skills in Chinese and English, be able to clearly collaborate with the veterinary team, and also be able to explain medical information to the owner in Cantonese and basic English; those who understand Mandarin will be given appropriate consideration.
High sense of responsibility and empathy, able to calmly respond to emergencies and emotional pet owners, respect life, and carefully observe animal behavior and physiological reactions.
