Data Center Operator (IT Infrastructure DCO)

Location: Hong Kong Island

Job Type: Full-Time Contract

Responsibilities:

· Provide day-to-day operational support for Data Centre

· Monitor servers, storage and network devices using monitoring tools

· Respond to alerts and alarms as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

· Perform system health checks, batch job processing, report printing, and backup handling

· Notify senior staff or escalate issues when thresholds are breached or anomalies are detected

· Execute first-line troubleshooting and call the responsible parties for the Level 2 and L3 support per SOPs

· Perform basic hardware checks and visual inspection on servers, storage and network devices

· Log and track incidents, service requests, and changes using the ticketing system

· Document actions taken on incident management and provide clear updates in the shift handover logs

· Assist in maintaining inventory records of IT equipment

· Assist vendors and internal teams in inspection, maintenance, and project tasks

· Maintain duty rosters, logs, and reports; respond to client queries via phone and email

· Work on a 24x7 shift rotation, including overnight duties

Requirements:

· Diploma or above in IT or related discipline

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in IT support or data centre operations

· Strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and good problem-solving skills

· Familiarity with Linux, Windows Servers, and network operations

· Knowledge in NOC or data centre environments preferred

· Experience in using testing tools for fibre optics and network cables is an advantage

· Good command of English and Chinese (spoken and written)

· Able to work in a 24x7 rotating shift schedule

· Fresh graduates with a keen interest in data centre operations will also be considered

· Communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
