Technical Business Analyst (Large-scale Client)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst with a software development background to drive requirement elicitation, system workflow design, user testing, and post-launch support. This role bridges business needs with technical delivery through hands-on SQL analysis, log investigations, and low-code enablement.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirement Gathering & Workflow Design: Collect, document, and prioritize business requirements into user stories and functional specifications; design end-to-end system workflow diagrams, UML flowcharts, and sequence diagrams.

• Stakeholder Alignment: Bridge communication between business units, software engineers, and external vendors across Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning.

• Testing & UAT Facilitation: Design test cases, lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) execution, define test data criteria, and ensure clear sign-off aligned with business acceptance benchmarks.

• Log Analysis & Production Support: Troubleshoot L2/L3 production incidents, inspect application logs (e.g., Splunk, ELK) and API error payloads, and trace root causes directly with developers.

• SQL & Data Verification: Write complex SQL queries to validate backend data integrity, verify ETL/migration flows, and support technical gap analysis.

• Low-Code Delivery: Build POCs, internal workflows, and rapid enhancements using low-code/automation platforms (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, OutSystems).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.

• 3+ years of experience as a Technical BA or Systems Analyst, backed by a prior programming/software engineering background.

• Proficiency in writing SQL queries and relational data modeling.

• Hands-on ability to read system logs, inspect API payloads (REST/JSON), and triage runtime application bugs.

• Proven experience creating workflow/process diagrams and managing end-to-end UAT lifecycles.

• Working knowledge of enterprise low-code tools (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate, OutSystems).

• Strong stakeholder engagement and analytical troubleshooting skills; fluency in English and Cantonese.
