Business Development Director, Asia (Passive Components)

Job Purpose

Responsible to plan, coordinate and manage all Field Application Engineer (FAE) and Technical Service (TS) activities to achieve the company’s master plan at their own area / country in Asia.

This position is responsible for developing and implementing a product design strategy that will generate sustainable revenue. You will also work to implement projects and programs by working with and through responsible departments that include Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, R&D and Quality.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To lead and manage a team of field application managers and engineers to support all activities pertaining to field application engineering and technical support, with the key demand creation goals to secure new design wins and BOM approval and expand promotion of products to add new revenue streams to the customer through new design-in of opportunities at existing and new customers.

• Develop a metric system that monitors performance of the Team that includes but not limited to design wins conversion to revenue. This will leverage our CRM Tool Sugar.

• Coach the FAE team to liaise closely with Sales staff ensuring the FAE Team understand the sales target in order to achieve Master Plan of their area/country. Set and achieve, together with the local commercial sales team, master plan and forecast on a month-to-month basis.

• Keep abreast of the general product applications, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and the product divisions.

• Lead Technical Service / QA team to ensure closing of product quality complaints and environmental enquiries at customers. Drive the team to address timely and effective countermeasure are taken by our manufacturing sites to ensure zero disqualification by customers.

• Coordinate communication on customer application challenges.

• Plan and organize KPI for each FAE and TS by maximizing their results for the assigned responsibility.

• Any other aperiodic assignments which will be within the sphere of the job nature of this role.

Job Requirement

• Over15yearsinElectronicIndustry,withminimum 5yearsinManagementrole.

• BScinElectronicEngineering/MScorMBA

• Fluency in CRM software will be a plus

• Prior experience in Manufacturing, Quality, and Field Applications Engineering

• Willingness to travel in the region.

• Good business acumen. To have solid foundation of insight into the business's operations, challenges and strategies.

• Good team player. Able to collaborate with other team members.

• Good communication and presentation skills. Able to deliver clear, concise message, and confidently make presentation to stakeholders and team members.

• Good spoken and written of English and Mandarin are preferrable.
