Tutor

Job Responsibilities

• Assist primary and secondary school students with their homework, provide individualized tutoring for students' learning difficulties, and improve learning efficiency and understanding ability.

• Carefully check students’ daily homework and classroom exercises, annotate common errors and provide specific correction suggestions, and help establish correct learning habits.

• Support school dictation, tests and exam preparation, design concise notes and key point consolidation, strengthen memory and application abilities.

• Maintain good classroom learning order, create a focused, respectful and interactive learning environment, and encourage students to participate and ask questions in time.

• Regularly respond to parents’ inquiries about their children’s learning progress, performance, and areas that need improvement, communicate in a clear, sincere, and professional manner to promote family-school collaboration.

Work requirements

• Holding a Hong Kong-recognized advanced diploma or associate degree, with education, language, humanities or related sciences as the priority; fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.

• Fluent in Cantonese, able to teach and communicate naturally and accurately; Mandarin at a general level, sufficient to handle basic teaching instructions and parent communication.

• Good English reading and writing skills, able to understand teaching materials, correct English homework and write simple learning comments; understanding and writing Chinese is the basic requirement.

• High sense of responsibility and stable patience, able to flexibly adjust counseling methods according to different learning styles and emotional states of students.

• No teaching experience is required, but those with tutoring, coaching, teaching assistant or volunteer experience will be given priority; must meet the legal work qualifications of Hong Kong (such as Hong Kong permanent residents, high talent pass, outstanding talent pass, IANG, dependent visa or other valid work permit).

Benefits

• Hourly wage of HKD$75 to $100, with experienced or outstanding performers eligible for further negotiation.

• Flexible working hours, arranged from Monday to Friday 4 pm to 6 pm, 2 hours per day, a total of 10 hours per week, suitable for part-time or freelance workers.

• Office work environment is clean and quiet, equipped with basic teaching resources and counseling space, and ensure teaching quality and personal safety.

• Stable long-term cooperation opportunities, excellent performers may be eligible for renewal and recommended to participate in other education projects.

• Work schedule is adjusted to the academic year rhythm, and classes are usually not held during winter and summer vacations and public holidays. The work schedule is clearly planned and predictable.
