Main responsibilities
1. Compliance and regulatory affairs management
o Supervise the legal holding and status of various licenses and certificates (such as business registration, import and export permits, input labor visa, etc.) of the company, review related documents, processes and third-party applications from a legal and compliance perspective, identify risks and provide strategic advice.
o Monitor Hong Kong and related business regions for changes in laws and regulatory requirements, assess their potential impact on company operations, and develop contingency plans to ensure continued compliance.
2. Business model and risk management
o Comprehensive review of the company's various business operations (including but not limited to the import and export of second-hand mobile phones) to ensure that they are fully qualified and legally compliant.
o Actively identify legal and compliance risks in business chains (such as goods origin, transaction process, data processing), and develop proactive prevention and mitigation measures.
3. Contract Management and Commercial Negotiation Support
o Act as a legal advisor in important business negotiations, provide immediate legal advice, assist in achieving business goals while controlling legal risks.
4. Human resources legal compliance and dispute resolution
o Lead the handling of labor and management disputes, arbitration or litigation cases that have occurred, formulate response strategies, coordinate internal resources, and maintain company interests.
5. Company assets and intellectual property protection
o Establish and maintain a legal protection system for company assets (including intellectual property, trade secrets, customer data and key data), and formulate relevant policies and agreements.
o Process involves company assets infringement, theft or dispute events, and taking necessary legal action.
6. Internal consultation, training and management support
o As an internal company lawyer, provide timely and practical legal advice and problem-solving solutions to various departments.
o Plan and organize legal compliance training for employees, enhance their risk awareness.
o Properly handle special tasks or legal matters assigned by the management, ensure efficient, stable and confidential completion.
Job Requirements
o Hold a Hong Kong law degree or relevant qualifications, with lawyer qualifications or corporate legal experience preferred.
o Import and export trade and electronic products industry experience is preferred
o Familiar with the Hong Kong Companies Act, Employment Ordinance, Import and Export Ordinance and related commercial regulations.
o At least 3 years of Hong Kong corporate legal or law firm experience, with trade, electronic products or technology industry experience being even better.
o Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to independently process files and provide solutions.
o Good communication skills, able to collaborate with internal departments.
o Proactive and responsible, able to adapt to a faster-paced work environment.
