Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Strictly follow the doctor's instructions for drug management, covering oral, topical and injectable drugs for verification, preparation and administration, and continuous monitoring of efficacy and adverse reactions to ensure safe and compliant use of drugs.
Provide appropriate nursing interventions for common chronic diseases among the elderly (such as hypertension, diabetes, cognitive impairment, and joint degeneration), and combine them with lifestyle habits to give personalized health guidance and health education support.

Work requirements

Holding a registration nurse (EN) qualification issued by the Hong Kong Nursing Authority and with a valid practicing certificate.
Have at least one year of clinical nursing experience in nursing homes, care homes or community-based elderly care services; familiar with the physiological and psychological characteristics, care ethics and communication skills of the elderly.
Have excellent communication skills, be patient and build trust relationships with elders with cognitive decline, hearing loss or language expression restrictions, and also be able to clearly and professionally communicate nursing information to family members and team members.
Familiar with the Elderly Care Homes Ordinance, the Nurses Registration Ordinance and relevant infection control guidelines, and attach importance to hand hygiene, medical waste classification, environmental cleaning and other inpatient infection control measures.
Have basic computer skills, be able to use the electronic nursing system in the institution fluently for recording, scheduling and report submission; understand Chinese and English typing, and have basic application skills in Word and Excel.
