Perform daily custody operations such as trade settlement operations, monitor trade processing cycle, handle and monitor corporate action events for a variety of products and markets, fees and income handling
Process account opening and manage client onboarding
Handle client inquiry in relation to custody operation services such as cash movement, trade settlement, corporate actions and billing; follow-up with counter-parties for exception items
Conduct daily reconciliation on client deposits & holdings and internal accounts
Prepare regular reports to clients and management
Participate in projects from time to time for business development and system enhancement, conduct User Acceptance Test
Requirements:
University graduate in Business, Accounting or related disciplines
5 years of experience in the banking industry or related areas; experience in custodian business operations with HKQF-related qualifications is an advantage
Knowledge of QDII, QFII, stock connect, and bond connect products is preferred
Good knowledge of the securities market
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated and work independently
Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work under pressure
Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English, Putonghua is a must
Strong office document processing capabilities, proficient is using Office software
Responsible for daily custody operations, including transaction settlement, transaction processing cycle monitoring, various product and market company action items handling and follow-up (such as dividends, stock splits, stock offerings, mergers, etc.); and custody-related expenses and income calculation and management
Handle customer account opening and full cycle customer activation process (Client Onboarding), ensuring compliance with internal compliance and regulatory requirements
Respond to customer inquiries about custodial services, covering fund transfer, trade settlement, corporate actions, bill issuance, etc.; actively coordinate and follow up with trading counterparties on abnormal items and push for problem resolution
Execute daily reconciliation of customer deposits and positions, internal accounts to ensure accuracy and timeliness of accounting
Timely compile and submit regular reports to customers and internal management, covering key indicators such as account status, clearing performance, progress of corporate actions, and risk abnormalities
Work requirements:
Have 5 to 10 years of banking industry work experience, those with custody business (Custody Operations) practical experience are preferred; those holding the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) recognized HKQF qualification will be given priority
Familiar with QDII, QFII, Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect, Bond Connect, etc. cross-border investment mechanisms and related operational procedures, those who are familiar with them are preferred
Have solid knowledge of the securities market, understand the mainstream financial product structure, clearance and settlement rules and regulatory framework
Logical clarity, strong analysis and problem-solving skills; high sense of responsibility, self-motivation, and independent work ability
Have good team spirit, good communication and expression skills, and be able to execute tasks stably and efficiently under high pressure
Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese, Mandarin is a must; fluent in Cantonese is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint), with basic data processing and report generation capabilities
Must have Hong Kong permanent resident status, or hold a "High-end Talent Pass Program" (High Talent Pass), "Outstanding Talent Entry Program" (Outstanding Talent Pass), or "Non-local Graduates Stay/Return to Hong Kong Employment Arrangement" (IANG)
