Technical Lead

Technical Lead (Fulltime remote, Hong Kong company)

Planto is a Hong Kong-based FinTech company on a mission to make banks more personalized and data-driven - we assist banks with digital transformation as well as adopting Planto's SaaS solutions to achieve this.

Our team is looking for a technical lead with 5+ years of React and/or Java experience to work on one of our projects with a bank in Hong Kong as well as our own internal products.

Requirements

• 5+ years in frontend and backend development

• Frontend: Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and React; React Native a major plus

• Backend: Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot

• DevOps: Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker), CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions), cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), deployments is a major plus

• Best practices: Familiarity with well-designed APIs, data pipelines, and automated testing

• Fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese. English language is strong plus, but not a must

• Available to travel to Hong Kong occasionally for business meetings on a monthly or quarterly basis

• Able to coordinate with the rest of the team using platforms specified platforms like Jira, Slack and Whatsapp

What you will do:

• Lead end-to-end technical delivery of high-impact customer projects

• Work closely with a team of engineers and UI/UX designers together with a Project Manager

• Participate in design, development, QA, and UAT remotely across the full project lifecycle

• Onsite support during project UAT and deployment stage

• Make architectural decisions to ensure scalable, future-proof solutions
