Job Description

Senior Compliance Manager (head role) (commercial /corporate bank)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all necessary documentation and monitor the effectiveness and enhance the controls and procedures to meet current statutory and regulatory requirements

  • Formulate, review and verify all compliance documentation- Identify gaps and recommend corrective actions and provide support and guidance to the bank to ensure ML/TF risks are managed properly

  • Keep abreast of regulatory changes and assess their potential impact on the bank

  • Disseminate compliance-related information and publications to all relevant parties

  • Act as the single contact point between authorities such as HKMA, SFC, etc. and the bank

  • Provide training on compliance issues to all relevant staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in related disciplines (Law / Legal an advantage)

  • 8 years of relevant experience in compliance including AML / legal department ofcorporate /commercial bank, a MUST

  • Sound knowledge of banking laws, operations and controls, different banking products and services offered by the bank

  • Able to manage assigned projects independently and to communicate the compliance requirements to business and functions effectively

  • Proficiency in written and speaking Chinese / Mandarin, a MUST
