Job Title: Carpenter
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for following the design drawings and construction requirements, carrying out the production, assembly and installation of wooden components, including doors and windows, cabinets, stairs, ceiling moldings, wall paneling, etc. interior woodwork.
- Operate manual and electric woodworking machinery (such as circular saws, planers, drills, sanders, etc.), ensuring processing accuracy and work safety.
- Participate in on-site measurement, layout and technical briefing, coordinate with architects, interior designers and site supervisors to coordinate construction progress and quality control.
- Handle wood selection, cutting, gluing, sanding, varnishing or priming, and master the different characteristics of wood and their corresponding joining methods.
Requirements:
- Have three or more years of local construction or renovation project woodworking practical experience, familiar with the common residential and commercial spaces in Hong Kong, and familiar with the woodworking standards and construction specifications.
- Proficient in both traditional mortise and tenon joinery and modern lightweight steel framing + plywood/wood composite system, able to independently complete the entire process from layout to acceptance.
- Preference will be given to those holding a "Woodworking Craft Certificate" or a "Construction Worker Registration Certificate" (CIC Green Card) issued by the Labor Department; those with basic Cantonese communication skills.
- Work attitude is serious and responsible, with a team spirit, and able to adapt to different construction site environments (including old building renovation, new construction projects and high-altitude work), and follow the site management arrangements.
