Network Security Analyst (Cloud Network)

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze cloud network traffic for potential security threats, anomalies, and intrusion attempts using SIEM tools and cloud-native monitoring solutions.
• Implement and maintain security controls across public cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including firewalls, identity and access management, and encryption protocols.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on cloud infrastructure to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents in cloud networks, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with incident response teams to minimize impact.
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices in alignment with industry frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP are strongly preferred.
• Proven experience in securing cloud-based networks and infrastructure, with hands-on knowledge of at least one major cloud service provider (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with network security technologies including IDS/IPS, WAF, DDoS protection, and zero-trust architectures within cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, cloud architecture, virtual private clouds (VPCs), and secure hybrid connectivity solutions like VPNs and Direct Connect.
• Proficiency in scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, Terraform, or PowerShell) to deploy and manage security configurations at scale.
