Project Supervisor (Electrical)

Job Description

The Project Supervisor is responsible for providing total engineering solutions for various types of Electrical and Mechanical systems for all Government Facilities, covering the full project lifecycle from design, procurement and project management to installation, testing and erection, as well as other technical consultancy services as required.

Duties:

• Provide total engineering solution including design, procurement, project management, technical consultancy services, installation, testing and erection of E&M systems for Government Facilities;

• Carry out duties as assigned by the Employer or Employer's Representative, including engineering and administrative support;

• Undertake site surveys and on-site information measurement/collection/verification, including conducting as requested, and provide subsequent technical advice;

• Resolve project risks and site problems;

• Study and translate design brief into preliminary design drawings;

• Prepare sketches, schematic diagrams, block diagrams, as-fitted and tender drawings according to CSWP;

• Provide engineering calculations.

• Maintain the drawing office filing system and inputting drawing record registration;

• Carry out site supervision, and vet and provide comments to contractors' submissions;

• Conduct and witness testing and commissioning of engineering contracts;

• Liaise and co-ordinate with various parties such as operation and maintenance teams, other government departments, utilities companies, building management and any relevant parties, for the preparation of design works, and subsequent site inspection, equipment installation, testing and commissioning, on matters related to the project;

• Handle daily administration works.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Higher Certificate in Electrical Engineering from a Hong Kong polytechnic university/polytechnic or HKIVE/technical institute/technical college, or equivalent;

• Minimum 6 years of working experience in electrical engineering projects.

• Experience in high-voltage and low-voltage system equipment for tunnels is preferred.
