IT Infrastructure Engineer

<p>Our client is a fast-growing crypto and web3 tech company, specializing in providing infrastructure, staking-related services, and software development for various blockchain networks, institutions, and end-users. Established in 2017 by a team of web3 veterans, we deliver secure, reliable, and innovative solutions to foster the long-term development of the crypto and web3 space As of 2023, we support and build tools for over 80 networks such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, Injective, Cosmos, Celestia, Wormhole, Radix, Sui, Oasis, SSV, Akash, Kava, Osmosis, etc, with the total value staked with our validator exceeding $100 million.</p> <p>We are hiring an Infrastructure Engineer to handle the following tasks:</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> Design and implement secured, robust and high performing institutional-grade blockchain network infrastructure</li> <li> Provision and automate the provision of server infrastructure, including blockchain nodes and application backends</li> <li> Monitor system uptime and performance</li> <li> Respond promptly to incidents</li> <li> Research and integrate new technologies into the company's infrastructure</li> <li> Troubleshoot network-related issues, conduct reviews and enhance the facility</li> <li> Conduct periodic resiliency testing</li> </ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li> 5+ years of experience in infrastructure/system engineering</li> <li> Proficiency in Linux system administration</li> <li> Strong knowledge of automation using Ansible/bash (or similar)</li> <li> Knowledge of PostgreSQL (or similar) administration</li> <li> Familiarity with IP networking concepts</li> <li> Ability to utilize monitoring tools like Prometheus/Grafana</li> <li> Experience in deploying and managing bare metal servers and rack infrastructure is a MUST</li> <li> Crypto and blockchain experience is a plus</li> <li> Excellent teamwork, independent thinking, a strong sense of responsibility, ownership, and self-motivation</li> <li></li> <li> Enthusiasm for exploring the future development of blockchain technology</li> <li> Conversational spoken and written English</li> </ul> <p>Other requirements</p> <ul> <li> Strong written and verbal communication skills</li> <li> The ability to take ownership and see initiatives through</li> <li> Experience working in an agile and international environment</li> <li> Startup and crypto friendly</li> </ul> <p>Work Culture and Benefits</p> <ul> <li> Hybrid (on-site and off-site) with flexible working hours</li> <li> Competitive compensation packages</li> <li> Discretionary performance bonus</li> <li> Medical insurance</li> <li> Productivity and wellness allowances</li> <li> Opportunities for career growth and development in crypto and web3 industry</li> <li> Exposure to global crypto and web3 communities</li> <li> Collaborative and supportive team culture</li> </ul> <p>Notes</p> <ul> <li> Location: Based in Hong Kong and hybrid work mode</li> <li> May need to work according to the timezones in Asia, Europe and/or the US occasionally</li> </ul> <p></p>
