Daytime health care worker

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for administering medication to residents, including accurately dispensing medication according to medical instructions and verifying drug dosage and administration, to ensure safe use of medication.

• Regularly measure blood pressure, body temperature, pulse, and other basic vital signs of the residents, and record abnormal data and report them to the nursing supervisor or doctor in real time.

• Perform basic wound care, such as cleaning, changing dressings, and observing healing, and follow instructions for treating minor skin conditions or preventing bedsores.

• Continuously evaluate the physical condition and changes in life functions of the residents, participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, and assist in the formulation and revision of personal care plans.

• Monitor and guide caregivers in their daily care work, including sanitation operations, transfer skills and emotional support skills, to ensure that service quality meets the nursing home's standards.

Work requirements

• Have secondary three education, basic Chinese reading and writing ability; able to communicate fluently in Cantonese, Mandarin and English at the basic level of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

• No relevant work experience is required, fresh graduates or those who have been in the industry for less than a year are welcome to apply, but they must have a sense of responsibility, empathy, and stable emotional management skills.

• Must be a permanent resident of Hong Kong, meet local employment qualifications, and be able to accommodate shift schedules (7 am to 7 pm) and a work mode of 6 days per week.

• Able to adapt to long hours of standing and physical labor, with basic infection control knowledge and occupational safety awareness, and willing to undergo on-the-job training and continuous learning.

Benefits

• Monthly salary of HKD$17,000 to $21,000, depending on experience and performance.

• Provide meals.

• Working hours are from 7 am to 7 pm, 12 hours a day, 6 days a week, with rotating shifts to ensure rest rights.

• Working location is at No. 323, Tseung Kwan O Road, Tseung Kwan O, Hong Kong, with convenient transportation and proximity to Tseung Kwan O Station of the Hong Kong MTR.

• Full-time position within the community services and development sector, with statutory employment protection and institutional welfare policies regulated by the Social Welfare Department.
