Credit card product general manager

Job Responsibilities

As the product manager of credit card business, I am fully responsible for leading, planning and driving the commercialization of Noah's Ark credit card project. This position is the core responsible person for high-end financial product innovation, and is also the strategic executor connecting wealth management and consumer finance, dedicated to improving customer deposit retention and customer stickiness (engagement) through product innovation, and helping to achieve the group's strategic goals.

• Drive strategic cooperation with key external partners, including card organizations (Visa, Mastercard), card processing agencies (such as Marqeta, TSYS, FIS), benefits service providers and technology solution providers, complete business negotiations and relationship management.

• As the core hub of cross-functional collaboration, work closely with technical teams (CRM system, funds account system integration), wealth management consulting teams (pushing cross-selling), risk control, compliance, finance and customer service departments to ensure the efficient progress of the project.

• Establish and improve credit risk management models, fraud prevention mechanisms and collection processes, ensuring that all business activities comply with Hong Kong financial supervision requirements and card organization rules.

• Completely responsible for business profit and loss management, through the improvement of transaction processing fees (interchange), interest income and other diversified sources of revenue, and effective control of operating and equity costs, strive to achieve break-even within two years, and build a sustainable profit business unit within 3 to 5 years.

• As business develops, gradually build and lead a professional credit card product and operation team, and build efficient and innovative organizational capabilities.

Work requirements

• Having more than 10 years of financial industry work experience, of which at least 5 years are spent in leading banks, licensed card issuance institutions or fintech companies, holding senior positions such as card product management, business development or integrated management.

• Have experience in successfully leading and implementing credit or payment card products from scratch, familiar with full product life cycle management.

• Have actual cooperation experience with international card organizations (Visa, Mastercard) and mainstream card processing platforms (such as Marqeta, TSYS, FIS), understand their technical interfaces, clearing mechanisms and compliance requirements.

• Familiar with the Hong Kong and Asian financial market environment, in-depth understanding of local financial supervision and compliance framework; those who hold the responsible officer (RO) qualification recognized by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission or the Hong Kong Monetary Authority are given priority.

• Experience in serving high net worth clients (HNWIs) or those with successful experience in wealth management in promoting cross-selling of consumer financial products is preferred.

• Deeply understand the business model of card operations, including transaction processing fees, interest income structure, risk pricing mechanism, and cost control of rights and interests.

• Have excellent negotiation skills, strategic thinking and cross-departmental push power, and be able to effectively integrate internal and external resources to achieve business goals.

• Have the spirit of entrepreneurs and strong sense of responsibility, and be able to actively drive business growth in an uncertain and fast-paced environment.
