The Role
We are seeking a highly organized and tech-savvy E-commerce Operations Assistant to be the backbone of our online store. You will play a critical role in ensuring our e-commerce platform runs smoothly, from updating product listings to fulfilling orders. Key Responsibilities
Product & Catalog Management:
- Create, update, and manage product listings on our e-commerce platform.
- Upload high-quality images, write compelling product descriptions, and ensure accurate pricing and inventory levels.
- Organize products into appropriate categories and collections.
- Manage product variants (sizes, colors, etc.) and SKUs.
Order Processing & Fulfillment:
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate with our fulfillment center or warehouse to ensure timely dispatch of orders.
- Prepare shipping labels and manage tracking information.
- Handle any order exceptions, delays, or issues with carriers.
Customer Service Support:
- Assist in responding to customer inquiries related to order status, products, and shipping.
- Process returns, exchanges, and refunds according to company policy.
- Help maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction.
Inventory & Data Management:
- Monitor and reconcile inventory levels across sales channels.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and assist with forecasting.
- Help analyze sales data and generate basic reports on key performance indicators (KPIs).
Platform Maintenance:
- Perform basic website updates, including updating banners, promotional offers, and blog posts.
- Test new features and ensure the website is functioning correctly.
- Assist in managing integrations with other tools (e.g., email marketing, inventory management).
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Proven experience (1-2 years) in an e-commerce, operations, or administrative role.
- Familiarity with major e-commerce platform
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive) or Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a willingness to learn.
Preferred (Nice-to-Haves):
- Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts (SEO, email marketing).
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS for product page formatting.
- Experience in a direct-to-consumer (DTC) e-commerce brand.
