Back Office Officer

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the trade settlement of equities, bonds and fund transactions, as well as fund disbursement and the corresponding accounting processing.

• Complete daily settlement and clearing operations in accordance with different business category to ensure the safety and accuracy of funds.

• Resolve various settlement issues with all counterparties.

• Take charge of the daily operation of the company’s trading APP and internal systems, as well as user rights management and basic technical support.

• Compile and submit settlement-related reports such as daily, weekly and monthly reports.

• Analyze and collate clearing business data, generate corresponding reports based on analysis results, and provide data support for business decision-making.

• Be responsible for the settlement and clearing of OTC Derivatives, including the execution of ISDA agreements, trade confirmation and netting processes.

• Ensure all back-office operations comply with the company’s compliance and risk control procedures.

• Fulfill other tasks assigned by the senior management.

Requirements

• Familiar with the securities settlement and clearing rules and operating procedures in Hong Kong and overseas, with more than 3 years of relevant working experience.

• Bachelor’s degree or above, majoring in Finance, Information Technology or related disciplines is preferred.

• Possess strong data processing capabilities and be proficient in office software such as Excel.

• Have a good work ethic and service awareness, as well as excellent communication and expression skills, with strong learning ability and team spirit.

• Candidates with settlement, back-office operation and system support experience in SFC Type 1 (Securities Trading) and Type 9 (Asset Management) licences are preferred.

• Experience in filling in SFC FRR reports or relevant financial accounting experience in Hong Kong is an advantage.

• Have OTC Derivatives settlement experience, and be familiar with the ISDA Master Agreement and the corresponding trade confirmation, reconciliation and netting processes.
