Key Responsibilities:
Handle full set of accounts for a securities company licensed by the Hong Kong
Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) with Type 1, 4, and 9 regulated
activities, including daily accounting operations, preparing accounting vouchers,
systematic bookkeeping, and completing month-end closing procedures to
ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all accounting data.
Strictly adhere to the Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards (HKFRS) and the
SFC’s financial compliance requirements for Type 1, 4, and 9 licensed
corporations, ensuring all daily accounting treatments comply with financial
regulatory standards.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations to verify bank statements against
company accounting records, promptly identify and resolve discrepancies, and
ensure consistency of fund records.
Manage the daily segregation of client funds in accordance with SFC regulations,
ensuring proper separation of client money from the company’s own funds, and
maintain accurate segregation records.
Assist in organizing and archiving accounting vouchers, financial statements,
fund records, and related documents, establishing a robust financial filing
system to meet the regulatory requirements for licensed securities companies.
Support external auditors by preparing relevant financial information and
responding to audit inquiries to facilitate the smooth completion of the annual
audit.
Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
At least 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience in securities brokerage or
the financial industry; hands-on experience in handling full-set accounts for SFC
Type 1, 4, and 9 licensed corporations is preferred.Proficient in Excel functions such as XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.
Experience with Kingdee Accounting System and Ayers Settlement System (BOS)
is an advantage.
Immediate availability is highly preferred.
