Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  1. QA Strategy & Governance

    • Define platform-level QA strategies, testing frameworks, quality gates, and release criteria.

    • Establish standardized testing processes, including test planning, scope management, risk assessment, defect triaging, regression strategies, and UAT support.

    • Align with Scrum agile delivery, integrating QA activities into refinement and sprint planning.

  2. End-to-End (E2E) Journey Quality

    • Deconstruct testing scope from a customer journey perspective across multiple channels (Web/App), systems (CRM/Core/Integration), and stakeholders (RM/Branch/Customer).

    • Maintain an E2E Scenario Library and regression suites to ensure core journey stability.

  3. Test Automation & CI/CD Quality Gate

    • Develop automation roadmaps (UI/API/Integration) and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines with DevOps and engineering teams.

    • Build reusable test assets, including data factories, mocks/stubs, and environment health checks.

    • Monitor quality metrics like coverage and pass rates while accelerating regression cycles.

  4. Quality Metrics & Continuous Improvement

    • Establish Quality Dashboards to track defect leakage, regression costs, SLA, MTTR, and post-production incidents.

    • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major incidents and drive process/tooling optimizations.

  5. Vendor & Team Leadership

    • Lead and coordinate the QA team, managing task allocation, training, and capability building.

    • Manage vendor delivery quality, including acceptance criteria, reports, resource allocation, and performance reviews.

    • Foster a "Do It Right the First Time" culture by collaborating with Product, BA, UX, and Security teams.

Requirements

  • Education: Tertiary education (Diploma or above); no specific major required.

  • Experience: 8+ years in QA/Testing, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or governance role (QA Lead/Manager).

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in Agile/SDLC and Scrum ceremonies.

    • Hands-on automation experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Postman, or Karate.

    • Familiarity with DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Xray)

  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in Banking or Financial Services is highly preferred (Audit, Compliance, Data Protection).

  • Languages: Excellent communication in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (written and spoken).
