Job Description
Accountabilities – Key Result Areas
Collaboration: Work closely with the buying team on various merchandising management activities, including supply and demand gap management, safety stock reviews, demand forecasting, and stock level optimization.
Strategy Execution: Partner with the Retail team and Warehouse to develop and execute effective allocation strategies.
Monthly Reporting: Maintain the monthly Open-to-Buy (OTB), reforecast sales, margin, receipts, and inventory. Address any changes and variances as they arise.
Business Communication: Communicate the current state of business operations during weekly meetings and monthly OTB meetings. Recommend strategic actions to maximize sales and margins, optimize inventory, and mitigate risks.
Performance Analysis: Present analyses by style, delivery, and category to the Buying team to assess merchandise performance and establish future goals.
Inventory Monitoring: Periodically monitor stock levels, merchandise allocation plans, and logistics flows from ordering to delivery at stores, adhering to related standard operating procedures.
Business Performance Analysis: Analyze business performance through various reports focusing on sales trends, stock replenishment, and inventory levels on a weekly cycle.
Inventory Clearance: Drive and plan inventory clearance through strategies for depleting slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
Project Support: Provide support for ad-hoc assignments or inventory-related projects.
Experience / Qualification Requirements
A degree in business or a supply chain-related discipline.
A minimum of 2-4 years of management experience in retail merchandise and inventory planning, preferably within the fashion, lifestyle, or retail industry.
Essential knowledge and experience with SAP systems.
Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
Excellent attention to accuracy in all tasks.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
