We are seeking a hands-on, deliverables-focused individual who possesses video production skills in a real business environment. You will be responsible for end-to-end video content creation, producing publish-ready content. You will work directly with our marketing lead and AI operations team to execute video campaigns that drive engagement and brand awareness.
Core Deliverables
Video Production (70% of role)
Produce 2–3 short-form videos per week (15–60 seconds) for platforms: Douyin, TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, WeChat Video Channels
Handle complete production workflow: concept development → filming (using company equipment or your own setup) → editing → post-production → publishing
Create platform-native versions of each video (vertical formats, varying lengths, custom captions/thumbnails
Shoot occasional interview-style content and product showcase footage
Content Operations (20% of role)
Maintain content calendar and schedule posts across all channels
Research trending formats, audio, and competitor content for inspiration
Monitor basic performance metrics (views, likes, shares) and suggest optimization
Assist with live streaming setup and event coverage as needed
Requirements
Technical Capability
Demonstrated experience with video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve)
Comfortable filming with smartphones or DSLR/mirrorless cameras; understands basic lighting and audio principles
Existing portfolio with at least 3 video samples you have independently produced (school projects, personal channels, or client work accepted)
Platform Fluency
Daily user of Douyin/TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts with intuitive understanding of what content performs
Familiarity with Chinese social media ecosystems (WeChat Channels, Xiaohongshu) preferred
Basic understanding of video SEO: titles, hashtags, descriptions, cover images
Professional Attributes
Bilingual: Fluent Cantonese/Mandarin for content targeting Chinese-speaking audiences; working English for internal communication
Self-directed: Can manage deadlines independently without daily check-ins
Aesthetic judgment: Can distinguish between polished, brand-appropriate content and amateur output
Fast execution: Comfortable with rapid turnaround (24–48 hours per video)
