Power Trader

Job Title: Power Trader
Duties:
1. Monitor real-time price fluctuations in the Hong Kong and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau power market, and formulate intraday/forward trading strategies
2. Execute power spot, futures and derivative transactions, and manage warehouse position risks
3. Analyze power supply and demand data (load forecasting, new energy output, transmission congestion, etc.)
4. Develop a quantitative trading model, optimize hedging and hedging strategies
5. Interface with power plants, power grids and large consumers, negotiate long-term power purchase agreements (PPA)
6. Follow up on carbon trading policies (such as the Hong Kong carbon market trial), design green power trading portfolios

Requirements:
1. Master's degree or above
2. More than 3 years of energy trading experience, familiar with the electricity market rules of Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area (China Power/ Hong Kong Electric System)
3. Proficient in pricing power derivatives (electricity futures, spread contracts CFD)
4. Proficient in Python/MATLAB for quantitative analysis, familiar with PLEXOS/PROPHET and other professional tools
5. Fluent in English (writing and speaking), Cantonese is an added bonus
6. Strong stress resistance
