Kitchen apprentice

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the kitchen team with daily food preparation work, including washing, cutting, marinating and sorting various ingredients, ensuring they meet hygiene and quality standards.

• Learn basic cooking skills under the guidance of a head chef or senior chef, and participate in the production process of different dishes such as hot food, cold dishes, and desserts.

• Responsible for kitchen area cleaning and organization, including stoves, work counters, utensils and storage spaces, and strictly following food safety and operation guidelines.

• Assist the team in completing pre- and post-meal preparation, serving support, and closing work, with good time management and multi-task handling skills.

• Participate in internal training and skills evaluation, continuously improve your understanding and practical ability of cuisine knowledge, cooking techniques and dining service processes.

Work requirements

• No academic qualifications required, welcome fresh graduates, career changers and new entrants to the catering industry with enthusiasm.

• No need for relevant work experience, but you must have a sense of responsibility, a hard-working attitude, and a willingness to start from the basics.

• Able to communicate fluently in Cantonese, with basic English and Mandarin listening and simple expression abilities, to support diverse team collaboration and customer needs.

• Must hold a valid identity or visa for legal work in Hong Kong, including but not limited to Hong Kong permanent residents, Top Talent Pass (TTPS), Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS), Non-local Graduates Hong Kong/Return Employment Arrangement (IANG), Dependent visa or other qualified work permit.

• Able to adapt to afternoon or night shift arrangements, enjoy six days of rest per month, have good physical fitness and stress resistance, and adapt to the fast-paced kitchen environment.
